Spring and fall

Gutter Cleaning, Cleared And Flushed

Leaves, seeds and sludge scooped out by hand, downspouts flushed until the water runs clear, and every bit of it bagged and hauled away instead of dumped in your beds. Clogged gutters spill over and send water toward the foundation, so twice a year, spring and fall, is worth it.

  • Downspouts flushed
  • Mess bagged and hauled
  • Spring and fall cleanings

Questions

Common Handyman Questions

Anything else? Call us at (515) 416-6717.

Do you take small jobs?

Yes. Small jobs are exactly what we do. One patch, one door or one mounted TV is worth a call, and a short list of little things makes a great single visit.

What areas do you serve?

Rapid Repair is based in Urbandale and works across the Des Moines metro, including Des Moines, West Des Moines, Clive, Windsor Heights, Johnston, Grimes, Waukee, Ankeny, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, Norwalk, Polk City, Adel, Bondurant, Indianola, Granger, Dallas Center, Van Meter, Madrid, Carlisle, Huxley, Mitchellville, Perry, Winterset, Ames, Boone, Knoxville, Newton and Pella. Somewhere else in central Iowa? Just ask.

How do quotes work?

Send photos and a short description on the Request a Quote form and we will come back with a price for the job. If a job needs a look in person first, we will set that up.

How much does a handyman cost?

Every job is different, so we price the job itself and tell you the number before any work starts. Photos are the quickest way to a real price, and bundling a few small jobs into one visit usually gets you more for the trip.

Can you do painting, drywall and small repairs in one visit?

Yes, and it is the best way to book us. Tell us everything on the list and we will quote it together, so the drywall gets patched before the paint goes on.

Do you do electrical or plumbing work?

No. In Iowa, electrical and plumbing work needs a licensed electrician or plumber. Our work is painting, drywall, handyman projects, gutter cleaning and junk removal, and if your job needs a licensed trade we will tell you straight.

My home was built before 1978. Can you still paint it?

Let us know on the quote form. Homes built before 1978 may have lead-based paint, and federal rules set how sanding and scraping are done in them, so we ask about the age of your home before we quote any painting or drywall work.

Do you clean gutters?

Yes. We scoop the leaves and debris out by hand, flush the downspouts so water runs away from the house, and bag and haul the mess away. Most homes are best done in the spring and again in the fall, after the leaves come down. Send a photo of the house on the quote form and we will price it.

What can you not haul away?

Paint, household chemicals, gasoline, propane tanks, tires and anything hazardous. Those go to the Metro Waste Authority hazardous waste drop-off. Furniture, boxes and everyday clutter are all fine to haul.

What are your hours?

Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Closed Sunday. Send a quote request any time and we will get back to you.
